Arizona College Prep has officially made history. The Knights captured their first state championship in program history after a dominant 11-3 victory over Horizon High School in the title game.

Jakobi Lane, a Red Mountain High School alum and former USC wide receiver, has been selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Draft. Lane now takes the next step in his football career following a productive collegiate run and a standout high school career in Arizona. During his time at USC, Lane totaled 99 receptions for over 1,360 yards and 18 touchdowns. In his 2025 season, he recorded 49 receptions for 745 yards and 4 touchdowns, showcasing his ability as a consistent playmaker in the Trojans’ offense. Before his collegiate career, Lane made a name for himself at Red Mountain High School, where he finished with 144 receptions, 1,847 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns. His development from a local standout to an NFL draft selection marks a significant milestone and adds to the growing list of Arizona athletes reaching the professional level. Lane’s selection reflects both his individual growth and the continued impact of Arizona high school football on the national stage.

Mountain View secured a 1–0 win over No. 7 Desert Vista behind a dominant outing from Tadon McKnight. McKnight threw a complete-game shutout, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing just 3 hits, 0 runs, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts while facing 27 batters. Offensively, the Toros recorded 3 total hits, coming from Brock White (1-3, 1 run), Chasyn Cook (1-1), and Lincoln Arrington (1-2, SB).

Arizona State earned a strong rivalry win over Arizona, defeating the Wildcats 10–4 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The Sun Devils offense came alive with timely hitting and consistent pressure on the bases, putting together multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game. Arizona State pulled away in the later innings with a multi-run rally that extended the lead and put the game out of reach. With solid pitching and clutch performances at the plate, the Sun Devils secured the victory in the latest chapter of the Territorial Cup rivalry.
